Guppy Puppies is a family-run breeder based out of Buford, GA. Patty and Jeff Baxter have had a lifelong love of dogs and have had many wonderful furry family members over the years. 

    After retiring from teaching, Patty decided to research and thoughtfully dip her toes into the world of dog breeding.  The Baxters have a vision of a family-run small  business with an emphasis on providing healthy, gentle, lovable companions of the furry persuasion. 

      Guppy Puppies now provides loving families with beautiful, healthy Golden Retrievers, Goldendoodles, and Sheepadoodles.  They use the Puppy Culture method and other respected methods to socialize the puppies, provide enrichment, and encourage a sense of adventure and confidence.

     All breeding dogs are genetically tested and come with a lifetime limited genetic guarantee.  In addition, many of the dames and sires are tested through the OFA for soundness of hips/elbows, heart, etc.

     Why "Guppy Puppies"? The Baxters are water lovers, and so are their dogs!  They've always owned dog breeds that traditionally love water and they've taken their dogs on boats, in rivers, lakes, ponds, and pools, and the dogs always loved the water.  They even have a dog that regularly rode their jet ski in his younger years!  Although they can't guarantee your new puppy will be a water lover, there's a good chance he will be if introduced early with calm affirmation and positive reinforcement.  Guppy Puppies seemed a fun fitting tribute to their water lovers.
